Thanks for all the messages. Blogs are great for this sort of thing aren't they.
I've been away from 27/10 -29/10 so only just caught up with all the info.
Seems to me you are having a great time but it is a steep learning curve for everyone.

I've been to the New Forest for a few days with 2 American friends. We've had brilliant sunshine all the time so it was wonderful to walk, if somewhat cold at times. We went over to the Isle of Wight for a day. The Solent was like a mill-pond - gorgeous. Back late last night so having a catch up day today, including loads of e-mails.
Praying for you all.
love from
Yesterday we had wonderful tributes to our dear friend and colleague Ron with so many special touches at the funeral, all with Ron's particular trade marks.....for one, he was late even for his own funeral! There was music by Westlife and Nigel Briggs, Amazing Grace, poetry by his grandchildren Ben and Alice, AV presentation showing Ron in many funny situations, balloons, and glowing tributes read by Steve, from Rachel and Esther; George Verwer. Ron's four grandchildren released the balloons outside Hope Church before we left for the crematorium.
It was a day of mixed emotions. As we stood together we remembered all of you meeting at the same time in Uganda. For Ron he is finally at peace and in no more pain. We can only thank the Lord for his amazing life and all that he achieved throughout the world. For ourselves faced with the challenge of continuing Global Care's work and vision without Ron....I know that we can do it with God's help. Please continue to pray for Rachel, Esther, their husbands and children and all Ron's brothers and sisters at this time of sadness and bereavement.
With my love to you all and please let my dear wife Christine know I am missing her terribly,
The Brandon church, Peter Hall who has helped me so much to raise the money, Sandra Burnip who started me back on the road which i left years ago, but im not like sandra, she was well and truly in to the church, I go for peace and comfort and the church gives me that, Yes i have a bible and yes it goes with me some times, but my comfort does not come from the reading of it, but just having it around me.and thank you to all the peole who signed my bible, and lefft me a message with meaning, also to the people who wrote good wishes for me going away, it will be nice to read them on the lonly nights.
I wish to thank the spiritualist church for the help to raise money for train, bus fares and the medical bag i need, and the net pack which they also bought, it was a big help.
Also to all the people in Brandon church for helping me and Sandra when i first started off on this course,
I want to thank my company for there help in allowing me time off when i needed it so much, that meant a lot to me, sorry to say more time needed ha ha haa, hope you will be just as kind to me.
A thank you to my family for putting up with me going on and on and on about Global Care, now leets see some cash, family please, ha ha ha ha ha
Mostly Margterr and Claire who haave had a lot to put up with from me, both being upset when i have worked so hard and got tired, but mostly when needed for being there for me.
Margret on the phone all hours when low with wondering if money would be there, Claire on mobile day after day talking to me to help me over the hills i had to climb. like markret she had her hands full, thank you Adrian for letting her talk to me so much. and Abigail for lettting me take her mams spare time so much.
Then Sandra at the start of all this when the bug to work with Global care hit me, and boy did it hit me.
Many more to thank, but others want computer so have to go. sorry if i missed you out.
Take care all , and GOD bless.
I could make a lot of remarks about walls that have been trown in my way, but god must have had a reason why all these problems croped up, but as time gets nearer i am climbing them and seeing the light ahead, so i can only hope the same gausdian will be looking after me while i am away.
the book will be with me and day to day will be filled in, true remarks will be made, so will give me some thing to look back on when i come back and ass i get older.
i must say only picked peeople will read it, s when i am tired and lonely, even though i am with lovely people, remarks will be wrote to make me fel better that should not be heard, aas i have found this a great sort of comfort when i hae been away other times.
so deep down i look forward to helping people who are poorer than myself.
I do find the remarks from people i work with and at home no help to me over the problems i may face, i wish people would understand why i want to go over to work with or for the children.
aam i jut thick, or is it other people live a soft life.
Yes i dont know how i will be effected when i return, but it would be nice to go away and have more than two people wishing me luck, apart from the church people of Brandon and Elvet, plus durham St Nicks.
thank you to the people who have said a pray over me, I AM NOT THAT WELL INTO CHURCH, but i get comfort from the church while i am there, that means some thing to me.

In response to:Welcome! to the U Factor 08

as the time gets closer i am getting motre nerves. but t the same time i know god lads my steps, so i dont worry so much.
